Our team is made up of people from all kinds of different backgrounds, including some who were young carers themselves. We believe that young carers are amazing and it’s our job to help them increase their confidence and wellbeing. We provide time and space for them to enjoy being with other young carers as well as opportunities to try all kinds of different activities and then tell us what they want us to do next!
Kate has worked as a Young Carers support worker in Selby since October 2018 and joined Carers’ Resource in May 2022. In her spare time Kate loves watching football and listening to music. She also loves a cup of Yorkshire tea!
Stephanie joined Carers’ Resource in August 2025 and covers the Harrogate district. When she isn’t working, Stephanie loves spending time with friends, family and animals. Stephanie has a massive sweet tooth and thinks chocolate is an acceptable breakfast food!
Jane supports Young Carers across the Craven district. She has a background in education and therapy for children and young people. Jane is passionate about enabling young people to overcome difficulties and thrive. She thoroughly enjoys providing opportunities for our Young Carers to have a break from the stresses and strains of life, and literally have a ‘care-free’ time. Jane enjoys being in nature with animals and also loves a good chuckle. Ghosts, Bob Mortimer and Would I Lie to You? are some of my favourites.
Carol has worked with the Young Carers of Bradford and the wider district for 20 years. Carol is now an ad hoc sessional worker for the Young Carer team, in Bradford, covering activities over the summer. When not working and managing to somehow find spare time, she enjoys keeping fit by swimming and gardening.
Amy started working with Carers’ Resource in 2020. She works in the Keighley/Shipley area and Bradford West. Amy enjoys watching true crime documentaries and catching up with friends.
Alana started working with Carers’ Resource in July 2021. She works in both Bradford West and East. Alana loves sports and spending time with her family and friends.
Lauren joined Carers’ Resource in January 2025. She works in Bradford West and Keighley/Ilkley area. In her spare time Lauren likes to watch sports and catch up with friends and family.
Anna joined Carers’ Resource in Decemeber 2025 and works within the Bradford area. In her spare time she enjoys catching up with friends and family, being creative and going for walks.
