Youth clubs are a vital part of our service. Here young carers can relax, take some time for themselves, make friends and have fun

Youth clubs are split by age with Budz groups for primary school children, uTime for those at high school and YACs for young people aged 15+

At our youth clubs, young carers have the opportunity to take time for themselves in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. They can choose to join in with a range of fun activities, try something new, or simply relax and unwind after a busy week.

The clubs give young carers the chance to meet other children and young people who understand what life as a young carer can feel like, helping them build friendships, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

Our staff are always there to listen and provide support if a young carer is worried about anything. By building trusted relationships, we can offer help early and make sure young carers feel heard, valued, and supported.

The clubs run regularly throughout the year and are available to young carers who are registered with our service and would benefit from regular time away from their caring responsibilities.

Youth Clubs in Bradford district

We want every young carer to feel comfortable, supported, and able to access the group that works best for them. We run Budz groups for children aged 5–11,  uTime groups for young people aged 11–15 and YACs groups for young adult carers aged 15+ across the Bradford district, with one group in each Family Hub area.

Our groups are a chance for young carers to take time for themselves, have fun, build confidence, and spend time with other young people who understand their experiences.

Groups run fortnightly throughout the whole year in many venues across the Bradford district, so please check with the team where the groups are taking place. If another location is easier for you or works better for your family, that’s absolutely fine — just let us know which group you would prefer to attend.

We understand that every young carer’s situation is different, and we will always try to support young people in a way that is flexible, inclusive, and centred around their individual needs.
