Youth clubs are a vital part of our service. Here young carers can relax, take some time for themselves, make friends and have fun

Youth clubs are split by age with Budz groups for primary school children and uTime for those at high school

At the youth clubs, the young carers can try all kinds of different activities or just relax. They can make friends who really understand about life as a young carer. They can also talk to our staff about anything that is worrying them so we can pick up any problems really quickly. These clubs run regularly during school term time. To access the clubs you must be a young carer who is registered with our service and needs some regular time out.

Youth Clubs in Bradford district

There are 4 Budz (age 5-11) groups and 4 uTime (age 11-18) groups around Bradford, one in each family hub area. Budz and uTime run alternate weeks in each venue, so check the calendar to find out when your group is running. If it is easier for you to get to a different area that’s fine, just let us know which you would like to attend. Please talk to a team member before coming to a group for the first time as it is possible there may be a waiting list.

  • Bradford East – Mondays 4.30pm-6pm
  • Bradford South – Tuesdays 4.30pm-6pm.
  • Keighley and Shipley – Wednesdays 4.30pm-6pm
  • Bradford West – Thursdays 4.30pm-6pm

Power of Attorney Share and Learn

Location

Carers' Resource

Date

Wednesday, 19 November 2025

Time

10:45 AM - 12:15 PM

Description

Carers UK will be hosting a session led by Priya on Power of Attorney (POA). It will guide you through the key considerations in a practical and supportive way. Together, we will explore what a Power of Attorney is, when you might need to set one up, and how to approach conversations about it with your family.

We’ll also look at the different types of POA, what responsibilities each involves, and how the application process works. The session will cover what happens if a POA is not in place, explain the concept of mental capacity, and outline what steps you can take if difficulties arise with your appointed attorney.

There will be time for questions, so if you have specific question you would like to ask, please email us at digital.products@carersuk.org so we can ensure your questions are answered. You will have the opportunity to ask more questions during the session.

Click here to register to take part online  from your own smartphone, computer or tablet at home.
