Carers Rights Day 2026

Come and join us for a special event at St Andrews Church in Starbeck, where we will have stalls, talks, performances and workshops exploring your rights as a carer. Come and talk to professionals, seek advice, and enjoy a performance by the Harrogate Wellbeing Choir. 

We will be serving tea, coffee and cake, for you to enjoy as you meet other carers and professionals.

Meet other carers and enjoy a walk around beautiful Harold Park.   Carers often finish the walk with a cuppa at the park cafe (optional). Contact emcalonan@carersresource.org for more details or to receive reminders for this. 

Lunch group for carers and the people they support

The group is for carers, however some carers do bring along the people they care for.

It is a great chance to meet new people, have a cup of tea or coffee with biscuits, have a chat and were here to support you with anything you may need.

The group is free, although we do accept donations and any are greatly appreciated.

Meet up for unpaid carers, support provided over a cuppa. Drop in session, no need to book.

This isn't a "group" session but an open session for carers who would like to visit the carers centre for some time out, a brew, a chat or to pick up information.  There is always a volunteer on hand to welcome you,  make a brew and have a chat.  The sessions are supported by Carers' Resource support workers who are on hand in case there is a need for more "practical" support or information.
