Community Carer Support Navigator
Salary: £23,133- £25,449 (new appointments are normally made to the bottom of scale)
Hours: 37 hours per week

Carers’ Resource, a successful local charity supporting unpaid carers and others in need of support across Bradford, Harrogate and Craven districts, is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and confident worker who has experience and knowledge to take on the role of Community Carer Support Navigator.
1 post covering Bradford West Locality area
One year fixed term
This is an exciting one year project that has been created to assist carers to navigate the health and social care system and to engage with the support planning process. The postholder will work within Carers’ Resource but will work closely with community health teams and Age UK, Personal Support Navigators, in Bradford East/West area.
You will identify and address the needs of unpaid carers to promote, support and improve the mental, physical, emotional and economic well-being of the individual, so they can continue in their caring role. A strengths based, person centred approach is needed to empower individuals to identify, make and sustain positive lifestyle changes to improve their health and well being. You will work in partnership with other external services in particular community health teams and statutory partners.
You will be based in our Shipley office, with some working from home, community and home visits.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Communications and Engagement Team of a successful and growing charity, which supports thousands of unpaid carers across Bradford, Harrogate, Selby and Craven districts.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Communications Officer who will support our media, social media, website, marketing and engagement activities. You will help with our crucial work of supporting unpaid carers, while building the reputation of the charity within our communities.
You will have:
• Experience of working in communications/PR/journalism
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Excellent writing and IT skills
