Role description:

The Volunteer Co-ordinator will be responsible for the recruitment of volunteers for Carers’ Resource in the Bradford District.  This will include liaising with team leaders regarding volunteering opportunities, co-ordinating volunteer recruitment, selection, induction, training and organising some volunteer run projects.

We are seeking someone with proven ability in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers – to enhance our new service delivery in Bradford District.

The post will require occasional evening work

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual with a detailed knowledge of Bradford and its communities to lead community fundraising initiatives across the Bradford District.  The ability to research and identify potential supporters, develop relationships with individuals and groups that will work with us, and raise awareness of the work of the charity are key criteria.  Ongoing funding of the post will be subject to meeting income targets.

Role description:

Carers tell us that they need a break from their caring duties.  Successful breaks can vary from a period of respite in residential care to a couple of hours doing something for themselves  These posts will build on the many successful groups for carers currently facilitated by Carers’ Resource to offer a wider range of activities to suit the differing needs of carers. 

Post holders will also develop and deliver seminars and sessions on topics identified by carers.  Volunteers will be recruited and trained in order to ensure the sustainability of the groups going forward.
