Trustee – particular interest in charity finance

Hours: Minimum commitment of 6 meetings a year
Role description:
Location: Offices in Harrogate, Shipley and Skipton. Currently meetings are being held remotely.
Carers’ Resource is looking for a new Trustee to join the board.
The Board is particularly interested in adding trustees who have substantial experience in charity or public sector finance.
Among other responsibilities, Board members:
- Ensure that the organisation complies with its governing documents, charity law, company law and other relevant legislation or regulations
- Support the leadership team in giving strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy and defining goals
- Work with each other to establish performance targets for the organisation

Home From Hospital Coordinator – Craven
Salary: £21,817 for 37 hours
Hours: 26 hours per week
Role description:
Based in the Craven locality, with frequent travel across the district.
Hours of 26 per week with occasional Out of Hours phone cover required
£21,817 (all salaries quoted for 37 hours)
You will develop relationships with appropriate hospital and community teams and directly provide short-term support (no personal care) to clients in their own homes after discharge
Joining an experienced team, you will be confident in working flexibly and independently in the community and within hospital settings. Ideally with an understanding of the issues that can arise post-discharge, you will have:
- Experience in assessing client needs and support planning
- Experience in supporting people in their own homes
- Confidence in liaising with hospital, community health & social care teams
- Excellent people skills
- Experience of working within a hospital environment will be an advantage
