We are trialling a new, twice-weekly drop-in service called “Open House” at our Skipton office. Debi Hawkins, Craven Locality worker shares:
“Although we hold a couple of groups at the Skipton office, we know that there are carers who aren’t “group people”, but who would welcome the chance to call in for a brew, maybe some information and a chat. The Open House sessions will be hosted by our wonderful meet and greet volunteers, with staff on hand if anyone needs extra support or advice.”
The first Open House session took place on Tuesday 21st October and drop-ins will be running every Tuesday morning 10am to 12noon and Thursday afternoon 1pm to 3pm.
If you look after a friend or family member and could use a little support, a listening ear or even just a quiet moment to yourself, you’re very welcome to drop by. This service is open to all unpaid carers, whether you’re already registered with Carers’ Resource or not. There’s no need to book.
