Trips and Activities

Trips and activities are a great way for young carers to get some respite from their caring roles and also meet other young carers and make new friends. The young carers help us decide which activities to plan, and we try to make sure that joining us on the trips really has a positive impact.

Some trips can be challenging – like paddle boarding or climbing, this helps young carers to be resilient. Other trips concentrate on wellbeing – like a day spent with animals at a farm, or a day at the beach.

Carers UK will be hosting a session led by Priya on Power of Attorney (POA). It will guide you through the key considerations in a practical and supportive way. The session will cover what happens if a POA is not in place, explain the concept of mental capacity, and outline what steps you can take if difficulties arise with your appointed attorney.

There will be time for questions, so if you have specific question you would like to ask, please email us at digital.products@carersuk.org so we can ensure your questions are answered. You will have the opportunity to ask more questions during the session.
