Getting a job after a long time as a carer can feel daunting. The Carers’ Resource employment team can help you work out what you’d like to do. We can help you write a professional CV and apply for jobs, or you can come along to one of our group workshops to learn new skills.

Around half of all carers in the UK combine paid work with unpaid caring. The Carers’ Resource employment team can:
give advice on balancing your roles

- advise you how to negotiate flexible working

Carers’ Futures is a flexible service offered to unpaid carers in the Bradford district.
The project, run by the charity Carers’ Resource, offers unpaid carers one-to-one support, by phone, online or face to face.
Carers who would like help with personal development, confidence-building, or employment skills are invited to contact the team.
Support is also available for unpaid carers who may be having difficulties at work or in education, due to their caring responsibilities.

The Carers’ Futures course is funded by the European Social Fund and the Education and Skills Funding Agency, and by Yorkshire Water.
Funding supports organisations in Coventry & Warwickshire and Leeds City Region to help unemployed people move towards employment, training or education.
