Being responsible for a child with additional needs is often quite isolating. You may feel other parents don’t or can’t understand what it’s like. Getting to know other parent carers, learning from and supporting each other can have a huge impact on your wellbeing.

Join our Facebook groups to meet other parent carers and keep informed about our online get-togethers as well as important news about local services.

We hold events and regular groups especially for parent carers, including a You Are Not Alone group for parents whose children display behaviours that are challenging. A trip for our Utime and YAC's to go to Flip Out, Leeds to enjoy an hour of jumping, sliding, climbing and just having great fun. Also a great opportunity to meet and socialise with other Young Carers.
