North Yorkshire County Council and NHS Partnership Commissioning Unit are currently consulting on a draft Learning Disabilities Strategy, to help shape services for people with learning disabilities in the coming years. They are keen to get as much feedback on the draft strategy as possible, especially from carers who play a vital role in supporting people with learning disabilities.
They are holding three ‘drop in’ events for carers to come and discuss their views on the draft strategy. The events are:
Scarborough – 23rd February 10.00am-12.00pm – Scarborough Library Interview Room (Vernon Road, Scarborough, YO11 2NN)
Thirsk – 25th February 10.00am-12.00pm – Thirsk Library Meeting Room (Meadowfields, Chapel Street, Thirsk, YO7 1TH)
Harrogate – 26th February 10.00-12.00pm – Harrogate Library Nidderdale Meeting Room (Victoria Avenue, Harrogate, HG1 1EG)
A copy of the draft strategy can be found at www.northyorks.gov.uk/ldstrategy , including the online feedback form. If you have any further questions or queries please do not hesitate to get in contact.
No booking is required, just ‘drop in’ for tea, coffee, cake and a chat. We look forward to seeing you at the events.
