All carers are welcome at our next carer forums – informal get-togethers at which you have the chance to discuss general caring issues with other carers and our chief executive Chris Whiley. Discussions in the past have included blue badges, carer cards and equipment for people who have hearing or sight difficulties.
Our next forums are:
• Carers’ Resource office @ Broughton Hall Business Park, Skipton, on Thursday, September 28, from 10am until 11.30am.
• Carers’ Resource office @ 11 North Park Road, Harrogate, on Wednesday, October 4, from 2pm until 4pm.
• Carers’ Resource office @ Unit 15 Park View Court, Shipley, Bradford, on Thursday, October 19, from 1.30pm until 3pm.
This time one of the items we’ll be talking about is Carers Rights Day, which we are holding on November 24 at City Hall, Bradford. We want you to help shape the day, which will be really exciting as it will give carers the chance to speak to professionals in health, politics and social care, among others. We want as many of you can come along to Carers Rights Day as possible – and please let other carers know it’s happening. A programme for the day will be available soon.
If you can’t make it to the forums, you can always write, call 01274 449660, email firstname.lastname@example.org or send us a message on Facebook or Twitter.
