Care at heart of service revamp

Last changed: Wednesday 10 August, 2016

Words from the heart and a tea dance will mark the rebranding of our home-care service which supports clients in Bradford and Airedale.

Now renamed as care @ carers’ resource (formerly Crossroads Care, Bradford and Airedale), the new title highlights its integral role within the district’s integrated carers’ service: Carers’ Resource.

The revamp’s celebrations will include a tea party at the Shipley headquarters at Park View Court, St Paul’s Road, on Monday, September 14, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Clients and their families will be asked to select and hold up a word from the ‘care @ heart’ which they feel sums up the service they receive for a commemorative photograph.

Sam Dawson, Head of Care Provision at care @ carers’ resource, said: “The ‘care @ heart’ was created as part of our new branding and it features the wonderful words frequently used by clients to sum up our service.

“It will be a lovely memento to have a photo of our clients holding up the words which reflect what we do; and a strong reminder for us all to continue to keep our clients’ needs at the heart of our work.

“We pride ourselves on delivering consistently high standards of care which respond to individual’s specific needs, and we also make sure we match our fully-trained and insured support workers with clients’ preferences.”

Anne Smyth, our Director, said: “This event will help us recognise the hard work that went into merging the direct care service, which has more than 25 years’ experience, with our carers’ centre. And it really is a great achievement to have all these services under one roof now as we also celebrate 20 years of Carers’ Resource – we definitely have a lot to be proud of and a lot to offer those in need of support.”

care @ carers’ resource is an approved provider for Bradford Council. It is regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and is a member of the Carers Trust.
