Play Latin and Jazz standards. Male and female carers who are instrumentalists or singers who want to improve their music skills. Learn jazz harmony, how to play over jazz chords, and learn latin rythmns.. Play your instrument or sing in a practical band session with other musicians in a studio with amps and drums ,keyboards, congas. Apply the learning in practical workshop sessions with your fellow musicians. You don’t need to be able to read music. Would suit people who can play an instrument but need to build confidence and skill to try  complicated styles of music like jazz. Musicians will get the chance to join the Men and Women Care Too Band.

Sessions are mostly weekly in the evenings starting anytime from 5pm till 8pm depending on the availability of the rehearsal studio but at different times.All drums amps microphones PA keyboard provided. Just bring your instrument.

Meet other carers and enjoy a walk around beautiful Harold Park.   We finish the walk with a cuppa at the park cafe (optional). Contact emcalonan@carersresource.org for more details or to receive reminders for this. 

Please come and join our new carers choir. We want this to be fun and relaxed. You don’t have to be a great singer and even if you don’t think you are a singer you should come along and give it a go. Think of this more as a social occasion to meet people, make new friends with a bit of singing thrown in. Live music to back you up is provided by our carers band.
We could start with songs by THE CARPENTERS and The EVERLEY BROTHERS,. Or do you may prefer Sinatra or Motown,Punk or are you a suave Bossa Nova type. Come on down,it's party time.

This session is for parent carers living in the Craven District. It is an opportunity to meet other parent carers and to talk to the parent carer locality worker.
