What is Carers Week?
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
This year’s Carers Week theme is ‘Healthy and Connected’. Communities which support carers to look after their loved ones well, while recognising that they are individuals with needs of their own.
Carers Week is brought to life by the individuals and organisations who come together to organise activities and events throughout the UK, drawing attention to just how important caring is.
What are Carers’ Resource doing for Carers Week?
As usual we have a number of events running during Carers Week on top of our usual events, including drop-ins and talks, as well as having information stands at various events throughout the areas where we work.
The Difference we Make: Showcasing the work of Carers’ Resource
This year we are holding an event at the Norcroft Conference Centre at the University of Bradford to celebrate our work with carers over the past year.
