Carers’ Resource is delighted to be able to advertise a new role to support carers and those they care for.  We are seeking:

Young Carer Workers

23 hours – Harrogate District (office base Harrogate)

21 hours – Craven District (office base Skipton)

Flexibility to work reduced hours during school holidays

£24,437 – £26,802 (FTE)

You must drive and have access to own vehicle.

This role offers a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of young carers’ and those they care for while collaborating with local partners and working within a dedicated team.

You will be supporting the social and emotional wellbeing of young carers in Craven or Harrogate through a mixture of one-to-one and group/activity work.

You will have a proven ability in improving the wellbeing of children and young people including setting up and running activities for children and young people, individual and group work skills, knowledge of the issues facing young carers and the ability to engage with children and young people in a variety of ways.

The post holders will be required to do some early evening work, and ideally be able to support activities with young carers during school holidays.

Option to work reduced hours during school holidays, or term time only.

You will be based at either our Harrogate office, with travel across Harrogate District, or Skipton office with travel across Craven District.

Salary scale quoted for 37 hours per week.

New appointments are normally made to the bottom of scale.
