Responsible to: Young Carers Service Manager

Salary: £27,000 to £28,250 FTE

 

You will be supporting the social and emotional wellbeing of young carers (aged 8-18) in the Craven District and (age 5-18) in Keighley District through a mixture of one-to-one and group/activity work.

 

Proven ability in improving the wellbeing of children and young people is essential, including setting up and running activities for children and young people, individual and group work skills, knowledge of the issues facing young carers and the ability to engage with children and young people in a variety of ways.

 

The post will require some early evening work and flexibility regarding activities with young carers during school holidays. Flexibility to work some hours at home as well as in community settings, schools and our office bases, weekly team meetings held at the Shipley Office.

 

Clean Driving licence and access to vehicle is essential in this role.

Salary scale quoted for 37 hours per week.

New appointments are normally made to the bottom of scale.
