Carer Locality Workers, 2 posts advertised.
- 30 – 37 per week, 12-month fixed term vacancy. Bradford South & West Locality areas.
- 24 – 30 per week, 24-month fixed term vacancy. Bradford South Locality area.
Based in our Shipley Office
Salary: £23,725 – £26,021 (FTE)
Carers’ Resource is a well-established Yorkshire charity that provides tailored information and support to carers, individuals in need of care, and the professionals who support them. We empower individuals to maintain their independence and make choices that improve their lives.
Role Overview:
As a Locality Carer Worker, you play a pivotal role in supporting carers through listening, advising, and advocating for them. You’ll conduct wellbeing reviews, identify required actions, and collaborate with local services. Additionally, you’ll engage in outreach work to promote our services and facilitate peer support groups. Your work aligns with local safeguarding procedures, promoting wellbeing and positive change for carers.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for working with carers and an understanding of the challenges they face.
- Previous experience providing individual and group support to adults.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with carers on a personal level and collaborate as a team member.
- Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs and demands of the role.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and rights of carers.
- Competent user of IT, email, Microsoft Office.
- Able to travel around Bradford district and around other Carers’ Resource offices.
