This is an exciting opportunity to join Carers’ Resource, a growing and thriving charity supporting unpaid carers – people who are looking after a friend, neighbour or relative who could not manage otherwise because of frailty, illness or disability.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic team member with excellent verbal communication skills – a confident public speaker with a background in communications, fundraising or engagement.

As part of the Engagement Team, you will coordinate community engagement in the Harrogate and Selby districts, working in partnership with other staff to identify and address engagement gaps.

You’ll work with the CEO and Head of Service to involve and engage carers in the design and delivery of Carers’ Resource services, delivering training and briefing to carers in order to support them to engage.

Engaging with companies, organisations, community groups and events across Harrogate and Selby districts, you’ll help raise awareness of Carers’ Resource services.

While engaged in community activity you’ll identify opportunities to raise funds and facilitate fundraising activities across Harrogate and Selby districts.

You’ll manage ongoing donor relationships in Harrogate and Selby districts, and research and pursue small grant applications in conjunction with the organisation’s Bid Writing Group.

For an informal discussion please contact Jenny Cornish on 07936 949 247.

Closing date for applications is 30/11/22, with interviews on 12/12/22 at our Harrogate Office.
