The Work and Families Act (2006) and Equalities Act (2010) mean that employers need to understand the legal rights of carers and support them in their caring role.  Many employers are also paying attention to the operational and cost benefits of retaining skilled staff.

The Carers’ Resource is an award winning charity, recognised nationally.  We are perfectly positioned to work in partnership with organisations aspiring to be a Carer Friendly Employer.  In response to employer demand for training, advice and information, The Carers’ Resource has developed a series of innovative and practical ‘toolkit’ seminars tailored to specific organisational needs.  We work to develop:

• Understanding of carer legislation, policies and briefings
• Awareness of the needs of carers and their work/life challenges
• Signposting support for line managers - Identification of the range of practical assistance and information services available from external care and support agencies
• Delivery of carer friendly strategies in the workplace
• Model practices and workplace surveys tailored to your organisation’s requirements
• Direct and personal support for carers

Our Course Leaders are all highly experienced managers within The Carers’ Resource.  Our fees are competitively priced and structured for full and half-day sessions.  We can accommodate up to 20 course participants at our training suites in Harrogate and Bradford or travel to your own premises for company focused training.
