Nextstep - Help and Advice for Adults

Carers' Resource has fully qualified Nextstep Advisors and Skills Coaches available to help you move forward into learning and work.

You do not have to be a carer to benefit from the support of our friendly, knowledgeable team. Nextstep provides information and advice about learning and work to adults aged 20+.

So, if you need help and advice with:

  • Deciding what to do next…?
  • Thinking about returning to work or a change of direction
  • Information on updating your skills and qualifications
  • Getting into learning
  • Finding a new job including job search, CV and interview techniques and tips

Nextstep can help you with information and advice on your options to help you achieve your goals.

If you are aged 20+ you can take advantage of the Nextstep Advice Service which offers free one to one support and advice, either face to face or over the telephone.

Contact us on 01423 500555 to see how we can help.

Skills Coaching
Skills Coaching is part of the Nextstep service for people who are claiming Job Seekers Allowance or any inactive benefit (e.g. Carers Allowance) who are aged over 20 years and who need help to build up the skills needed to get a job in their local area.

A personal Skills Coach will meet with you to look at the skills you already have and to see what skills you need. Together you will put together a Skills Passport to show employers what you can offer. Training or learning is arranged if needed and the Skills Coach will keep in touch with you throughout.

To learn more about the Skills Coaching programme, contact us on 01423 500555.
